How to get through the lockdown (COVID-19)

Due to the pandemic, people all around the world has been mandated to stay home. This, I must say has caused lots of distress from not being able to work and socialize; for one has been restless, however, I made a routine which includes exercising, reading, listening to music, trying new things and lots more.
I hope that how I learned to deal with this distress can be of use to others in lock-down.

Here are some tips to help cope with the lock-down.

Spend Time With Family

This is a perfect opportunity to spend time with your family and get to know each other better. This is the time to get a good look on what your children are learning in school and how to make them better in places they have default.

Exercise

This can help strengthen your immune system and improves fitness. It is also good to learn a new dance through tutorials online, or at least walk around your living room, but better than sitting on your couch.

Try Something New

Read that book gathering dust on your shelf. Make some pastries, test new recipes or play a game of cards as I did. Work on your project. Plan for the future.

Stick To A Regular Schedule

It is easy to lose track of time in this period so keeping a regular schedule helps you maintain a sense of time that keeps your body functioning and your spirit up.

Stay Informed

Follow the news. It's important to be aware of ongoing developments as things are changing quickly but also be aware that fake news and disinformation are flooding the internet . So beware and choose your choices wisely.

Stay Clean

If you have the opportunity to go outdoors, for instance, going to the supermarket or work(as the case may be),remember to wash your hands as soon as you return.  When outdoors, refrain from touching your face, carry a bottle of hand sanitiser, use a nose mask (surgical or cloth), cover your face with your elbow when coughing or sneezing to avoid spreading germs through your hands. Take care of yourself and this too shall pass.
